Works for my blu-ray, NOT my DVD/RW By Amazoned I bought this to house my internal Lenovo Multi III DVD/RW (Panasonic UJ890). It couldn't be recognized when connecting through USB ports of my Thinkpad, or another desktop. However, if I put my blu-ray player (Panasonic UJ240) in this enclosure, then it's recognized and working!! My other external encloser is from JacobsParts, and it works for both blu-ray/DVD-RW drive and DVD/RW drive. So it's quite weird for me. This just might be that I have a (semi) bad enclosure circuit board. But for now I'll just swap my existing enclosure and use this to house my blu-ray burner/player (Panasonic UJ240). Will provide update after extensive use and see if it holds up. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Terrible product! By mikeeh1954 I have to give this product a "zero" score. It did not fit my drive as advertised even though I checked to make sure it was compatible with my model. There were no installation instructions at all. When powered up it would allow my drive to "take" a CD but not eject it! When I checked the company's website it refers me to a support phone number. When I called the number it referred me back to the worthless website! Emailing the company was no help at all. Unable to get it to work at the moment By natedog Looks good, fits my drive (CD/DVD-RW from HP laptop, working fine until in the laptop) just fine, seems pretty sturdy in overall design (note, is plastic case), but when I plug in the drive to my computer it will not open CDs/DVDs (initially reads drive as there, but when try to use drive it will continue to spin up drive over and over and then the computer no longer recognizes a drive is connected). One exception is the driver CD that came with the product (this would work, but it only has drivers for windows 98 and did not fix my problem on windows vista). Could not find drivers or a solution to my problem yet. Will update with fix if I find one. See all 4 customer reviews...
