I bought three of the Kinsey Panasonic (Matshita) UJ240AS optical drives, with the first purchase of more than one year ago. None of these units have failed. As a matter of fact, none of them even have the hiccups in its operations. The only downside to this is the lack of optical drive playback software, but there are many companies out there willing to spoil you with playback software. Because these units are, for me, a "known commodity", together with the fact that none of the three purchased could not function as it should, I would buy no other. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Panasonic Disc BD-R Good, but not the best! By AJB It does the job. For the price I can not complain. I made new before long he did not come with a software or instructions. It would have been nice if he had come with software does. BD-R software is quite expensive and difficult to achieve in some cases, but for $ 140 compared to all the competing DVD-R (Slimline / Notebook) all go for $ 200 and up, I am with this unit very satisfied. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Works fine for Mac! Purchased by K. Eng, this element is to be with my MacBook Pro and Mac Mini for playing back Blu-Ray burner and use them. Since the interface is USB, it's a bit slow on the fiery side, but it's nice to play. As many may know, is a new software for playing Blu-ray discs on the Mac - you can get it at macblurayplayer.com. Caveat that the software is not quite ready for prime time, but promised! This article is a 12.5 mm high drive capacity does not match that of MBP or older Mini. But I had a case that carries it around and plan to fit it with me when needed for display or storage of large amounts of data. I think the fact that there are compartment-loaded, I think it allows me to play different types of discs (some people still use the mini-disc) that I can not play both Mac good product and good service for this object. It came quickly and packing problems - and also brand new. All 3 reviews ....

The best feedback from customers on July 7 people found the following review helpful. Just what you need for your netbook B. Austin has been six years since I bought a laptop with an optical drive, so a good hard external drive is very important. I was using a LG Lightscribe feature rich of the last four years, but finally gave up the ghost and left me without a reliable method to read or write CDs for my next unit I wanted something smaller, like there was nothing on the old laptop LG. Enter the Buffalo MediaStation. I do not have much time, but I can report a three important facts. 1. You can run from a USB port. The unit has two USB cables around the face and landing gears. Or you can run this from a single port depends entirely on your computer. The unit makes it easier for you, lighting up red or blue, depending on your calorie needs. If blue is gold, red and you will need a second USB port. 2. The disk is fast enough to drive an external bus in a 1.3 GHz Intel Core 2 Dual Laptop with 4 GB RAM, 160 kbps MP3 encoding iTunes to 20x. 3rd DVD drive can be noisy. Not much room for the isolation of this unit, so it will rattle around some. I can not speak for longevity, but so far has been an excellent purchase. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Client more useful in 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. Excellent Blu Ray William D coverage, this Samsung Blu-ray burner / CD / DVD with LightScribe is a very good disc. Easy to install and easy to use. I notice another study that the field should include SATA cables and screws. In my case there was no reason because I used the SATA cable and existing media. The unit is great, but be aware that you'll have to buy software to watch Blu Ray, the software can only play DVD movies. It includes the usual CD / DVD software for burning and playback. The read speed of 12x BD NUCH is better than many Blu Ray discs and the movie plays very well. Most of the other discs are 8x or 10x at Amazon 18 of 18 people found this review helpful. I use this to store my photos on the photo, because these days the camera to record a larger file and a DVD you do not cut it anymore. Windows integrated CD burner, and Vista is too slow you have to guess how many gb left. There is no blu-ray software is available as CDBurnerXP and Imgburn works. Unfortunately slowly BD-R 4x and 6x were common to beong comes with a higher price. Also, BD-R are not as cheap as the DVD, as if burning takes an hour and take a hard disk coaster is a costly mistake. I had no error is still burning, but it is relatively new to me. I use Ridata BD-R 4x and it works. If you are new Blu-ray, maybe get the retail version, so that the software for burning and playing the movie for me, it's worth getting. 2 of 3 people found this review helpful. The cost of cable is less than $ 5, making it even more surprising exclusion. And exclusion means inconvenience for me. The unit is weird! It opens without a good reason, and sometimes closes when there were no queues to close - right when you're in the process of inserting or removing a disc! In the month or so since I got this album, he has eaten a blank Blu-ray - well, actually swallowed, but not to chew - and then went to work at the very end after removing the cover from the PC to working on the problem, I found sitting on the hard drive, not on it. No idea how this can happen, because the fit is tight. This event was a direct result of the fact that the drive tray is collected at the time the disk was 99% in place, but had not released yet. Peculiar, though, I learned to keep the tray with one hand while inserting or removing a disk with the other! Most of the time this unit works well, but some Blu-ray does not invoke a reaction unit. These tend to be some of the newer Blu-ray Discs, complex, such as extra security has been to copy the embedded DVD shows the disc menu shows page, alerts and all obstacles to the film that in the integrated hard drive I am very disappointed with this problem, but the product is no longer withdrawn Amazon. Think what this drive was needed, a good firmware update, I googled the name of the drive and firmware word and ended up downloading a Trojan disguised as a firmware update. Fortunately, when I was about Windows 7, the permission that seemed to be downloaded and installed Ad-Aware and told me that the file is a known Trojan! I fought on every page of the download and get them from my computer so I do not know the place, the release was a trojan. I remember that CNet and Sony were words in the URL, the Web page. I have carefully considered all the baggage that the addition of a Blu-ray to your PC would, but I lost some of the finer points! * The first is the fact that "free" software installation disc player built-in burner test proved to be a temporary

The swap out was easy, and the new drive worked perfectly the first time. When I installed the software that came with the CD that includes an option to update the firmware on the new drive. So I chose this and went on. The firmware update program tried to install new drivers for both the unit and my LG DVD-R / W. However, no update for unsigned drivers and Win7 requires signed drivers. I made 30 discs at the time. No coasters. They looked great work. I always burn at a slower than nominal speed and do a test later. I needed to get data from a disk in December 2009. I found all the disks burned in January was completely unreadable. A disc that has been done in February was partly read by recovery tools. I made two records in March was quite readable. In all I lost 27 Blu-ray data, which has cost me over $ 150.00. Memorex I bought because I trusted the brand. Some leaders of Memorex figured out how to reduce the cost of these discs and I'm sure he got a big bonus for improving earnings. Webb, I bought this Blu-ray because of the name and LG software package that comes with it, which I'm sure you've read in previous reviews. When I burned my first disc 50 Gig I thought this would take forever, but I was pleasantly surprised. He burned the disk in 47 minutes and 25 Gigabit discs burned in about 27 minutes I love this recorder and I was watching movies on my Blu-ray high-definition display and the picture quality rocks. My experience with this recorder is very good and the price was pretty good too. I admit I did not use the software to burn a LightScribe label on my albums, but I'm not really for it. Buy a Blu-ray on Amazon.com, Best Buy is the face. I have a lot of DVD-R axis I have forgotten because I love both Blu-ray. In my opinion, can not go wrong with this product. I recommend and am totally happy with it. June 6 people found the following review helpful. A big boost per unit Jailoliv Excellent. Unfortunately, this does not buy from Amazon because I found a better deal. However, the price is very good. If you buy it and you have problems installing the software as some have mentioned, remember to uninstall UltraISO or any other virtual drive before installing, otherwise the software that comes with it not installed This message can be "can this software installed with a drive LG HLDS "It took many hours and try to realize this. The problem is incompatibility with UltraISO and at least one software that creates a virtual drive that daemon. See all 16 reviews ....

Verbatim BD-R LTH media is manufactured with an organic dye that turns the disc’s reflectivity during recording from “low to high”. Other BD-R discs use the “high to low” recording method. Additionally, BD-R LTH is manufactured on converted CD-R/DVD-R production lines, which utilize a spin coating process and allow excess materials to be recycled. These two cost-cutting measures let us pass along the savings to you. The best customer reviews 71 of 81 people found this review helpful. what's the point? are not compatible with any Blu-ray, and they are just cheaper, I have to say Paul Christensen, the idea is interesting - even Blu-ray to create a method that can be produced using existing production lines in the white CDs and DVDs. The premise is that lower costs of producing records are transferred to consumers. Here are the problems: 1) LTH discs are not compatible with any Blu-ray, not to mention all the Blu-ray burner (on most Blu-ray from 2009 can burn). Big loss: The best score, best-selling Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray, which was launched in 2009 and updated frequently with Divi is incompatible with LTH. Support Division, said they are investigating, but has no obligation to a firmware update to the BDP-83 for reproducing the content recorded on LTH. 2) speed - slower than the conventional Blu-ray. In my Pioneer BDR-205 (which is a recorder supports LTH) were slower than the standard for burning "4x" media, but not a full factor of 2x (on average 14 times slower). 3) Cost - after all, there is a cost savings? Unfortunately, very little. Compare this with a similar 25GB 20-pack blank BD-R (4x) media. List price is lower, but the real selling price of the Amazon is almost the same. Longevity 4) - this is subject to debate, but there are some opinions that the organic dye used by the media do not last as LTH BD-R and conventional. In my book, this combination of factors that prevent me from LTH. Unless the support increases, and the price difference becomes substantially different in the future, do not buy them again. 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. A nightmare ... I got burned by koko lopez hundreds of BD-R in recent years (I had some pioneers in this case). I bought this after I drive away from buying cheaper Memorex discs of all the problems people have reported being said scared, I actually had more problems with these discs I have ever had with any other party of the discs. First, my recorder was often very light, but at 2x, almost as if you are 25 shows dumping molasses. Second, approximately 50 percent of the drives do not burn well. I saw this strange little bubble on the bottom, where the check failed. I have everything from death literally, and were so kind to quickly and efficiently sending replacement discs for all the rides. I hoped maybe I just got a bad batch, but alas, I had the same problem with the replacement discs. There, I have no one else has reported this is seen as a problem, there is an opportunity I have some strange confluence of hardware problems that led to these problems, but whatever the problem I've never had problems like this with other hard drive I laud their service, but these discs are for the birds. 27 of 29 people found the following review helpful. I've wasted $ 30 on these elections Entertainment This should be compatible with LG Super Multi Blu-Ray burner BH10LS30. They are not! I've wasted 7th All slides now! I thought it might have been a bad blu ray unit, so I took it back because it was only 2 days old. Put another one in and still receive error messages when you try to burn these discs. But the free CD Verbatim (6x), which came with the unit was just fine to burn a project. Since you have to put with the other device I in. I tried to burn projects with three different software programs were. All gave me the error message at the end of the process. "Error Code 83457304".

Incompatible with the PS3 by the waters of John D. As a professional videographer, I was burning Blu-ray in early 2008. I lived some of the axes of these discs in general and some questions on fire, but when I try to play the disks are finished in a PS3, not the player to read them. I put the same disc in a Blu-ray stand-alone work well, but with so many people with a PS3 to play, I stopped buying them. The price of generic drugs has dropped so much Printable Blu-ray I do not see the need to buy more time to save those few cents per disk. 4 of 5 people found this review helpful. Stay away !!!!! Sean John FYI: I have copied over my criticism from the opening to the load, 'coz I actually got a LOAD TRAY version, a not a slot-load. I like the safety that an emergency eject hole. Otherwise everything is. ============================= I have this DigiStore Blu-Ray burner for my HD video. I am a semi-professional videographers and I take some of my shots / subjects / videos in high definition. At one point earlier this year, I realized that burning to DVD is just not enough for HD content - the 4-gigabyte something does not cut it. I decided to get DigiStore Blu-ray burner, because I am one of their DVD burner and got - 8x External USB 2.0 Powered by Digistore DVD burner - and I could see from their website - one that the [. ..]-, had designed a similar Blu-Ray burner. The reason why I was so happy with the DVD was that he did not need a power cord for her I'm happy to say that Blu-Ray is the same - no power cord. I use it for my HD video editing, connected to the PC. I also carry it around, is very lightweight and portable, on my shoots should be the need to burn on the spot. And 'plug and play, no drivers required - Vista and Windows 7 supports Blu-ray natively. And I met a burn on the damaged disk. Something to do with battery power, but I also made sure that he has enough power to burn, I had the double-USB accessory. I am very happy with the product. 24 of 25 people found this review helpful. Fortunately for easy plug and play Blu-ray disc data storage device for Mac and PC Mark Lear manage a recording studio and audio / video post-editing facility in which we are dealing with tons of digital data on a daily basis. We have terabytes of storage in our studios for editing sessions online, but when it comes to archiving our productions, video productions, in particular, we need dozens of DVDs for archiving the data first (and only SD material) contain much both save DVD is also a task that we do not have to cope better. So we had our eye on Blu-ray for some time that the media of choice, what with the capacity to 25GB - to 5 MiniDV raw material are stored in one BD-R! And video projects with more than 5 miniDV, there is a 50 GB Blu-ray discs can handle the job. This DigiStore Blu-ray is sneakernet perfect for our mixed OS and operations, there is an external USB-2. driven by the bus we can take a room / apartment to another without worrying about compatibility. It is also quite robust, despite the plastic housing, it was not even a hiccup since abandoned. Blu-ray burning and reading of data is resident on both Windows PC (we are running Vista and Windows 7) and Mac OS X (we have 103.9, 10.4.11 and 10.6.3). Now, with this external Blu-ray, we have minimized the number of discs that we manage, we also minimized the time spent managing backup / archive session from the moment we just dropped all data to a disc is not necessary to calculate the number of disks to be used and how to share data across multiple discs. I hope this review helps. 17 of 19 people found this review helpful. DigiStore external Blu-ray Burner USB 2.0 (tray loading) What Chrysostom Darn it works as advertised. The only bad part is that the costs for supporting bluray is so rediculously super expensive I do not think the recording will jump Bluray mainstream. On the other hand, it is fast and very very quiet compared to my other external slim DVD + R /-R burner. It also has an internal battery. I was hoping to have an eSATA version itself, but oh well. Although the price it would be nice if it comes with a standard AC adapter that plugs into a wall instead of dual cured with dual USB connection but it was worth the purchase. I got the tray-load version, because it was faster than the union.

My brief review of the WU Welly I bought this ASUS SBW-06C1S-U, because I bought an ASUS notebook PC N61JV-X2 with Microsoft's Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I subscribe to Netflix, with the possibility of renting Blu- ray as an optional extra. I looked at several other competing manufacturers such as Buffalo Technology and Sony, but I decided this ASUS SBW-06C1S-U to get because the reputation of the brand. Before deciding to buy, make sure that your PC supports HDCP, a visit to the site and download and install Cyberlink Cyberlink BD & 3D Advisor tool. Run this tool to check if your PC is up to standard. The best of my knowledge, Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows 7 Home Premium and above support HDCP. This unit comes standard with an AC adapter and cable, the device itself, and a high-speed USB 2.0 mini cable. Simply plug the power cord, connect the USB cable 20, and insert a USB 2.0 port on your PC and let Windows automatically detect and install the appropriate drivers. Next, open the drawer and put the CD software Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 and install the software on your PC to play Blu-ray. The version included is obsolete. Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra 10 Mark II is the current version at time of writing. The cost is $ 79.99 USD for new customers. I use the ASUS SBW-06C1S-U to decrypt and extract the Blu-ray movies that I rent from Netflix using SlySoft AnyDVD HD. I record on a Western Digital Caviar Green 1.50 TB external hard disk drive housed in a Thermaltake BlacX drive dock connected via eSATA. It takes about 20 minutes to write a single layer of 25.00 GB Blu-Ray. If you connect the USB 2.0 port 0-port, which is directly connected to your PC, then it is not necessary to play wearing the extra power supply and cables, or write Blu-Ray movies or CDs, the new drive replaces an aging LG GSA-5163D firmware A105 Super - Multi Double Layer DVD and CD player and burner drives. I can, my CD, DVD-Video and Blu-ray collection to my hard drive with this rip ASUS SBW-06C1S-U without problems. I have checked the ASUS site for firmware or software updates and there is not at the time of this writing. As a side note,. If you DVD-Video and Blu-Ray rip movies in one ISO file so you can Video Lan VLC player to play movies at any time. There is no reason to buy the latest version of Cyberlink PowerDVD software or the included CD if you decrypt, rip and install play movies from your hard drive. I tested the disk encryption feature and it works as advertised. The algorithm is Advanced Encryption Standard Cryptologic to 128-bit strong encryption using SHA-1 hashing and encryption algorithm as a 'strong as to secure your data on optical disks. Overall this is an easy to install and use the product until you have verified that support HDCP and you have modern hardware and software to support this device. And "well built to withstand the occasional bump and stored in a bag for use during travel or playing Blu-ray disc burning. I recommend it to travelers who wish to add an optical drive or a netbook ultraportable that does not come with one . Addendum: I have since returned this product for a full refund because it uses two USB 2.0-ports to power the disk during mobile use. My ASUS N61Jv-X2 notebook are broadly distributed USB 2.0-ports so special Y-shaped USB Type A to Mini Dual Cable is compatible. 17 of 18 people found this review helpful. Great writer and a good price for SquallMX (crap) English: work as expected, is the software package right (but I recommend ImgBurn to burn a disc, and Total Media Theater to watch movies on DVD and Blu-Ray) The only drawback is the need for some two USB ports (no hub) to the right.

But do not get me wrong, the Mac OS does not support Blu-ray at this time. After buying this, I use it on my windows bootcamp and works really well. No delay, unless you make a small Fastforward crazy. But after a week, I found a way to play Blu-ray on the Mac OS. First I downloaded a program called "MakeMKV". Install on Mac OS, then use this program to turn the blue-ray content in a MKV file with this player. I only need about 25 minutes to do it (using the iMac i7). After that, just sit back and enjoy the video and audio 1080p DTS HD beautiful iMac using VLC player. I recommend this player for Mac since it uses a power supply, no USB power, which is good because it has more power to push up the window, without delay and a faster speed to turn it into a MKV on Mac OS 15 of 15 people have found this review helpful. Sony hit a home run. In life, I bought this product for the chance to save Blu-Ray for personal use. I had the player for about a month and I must admit, the unit works well. You will not be disappointed with BC Smith BE12LU30 I bought the LG because it had the features I was looking for an external drive that can read / write speeds for CD and DVD of various kinds. I also wanted to print the disc label using LightScribe technology. There are many external Blu-ray drives to choose from and paraphrase what has just been released in October 2010, had not yet been widely reviewed by end users, but I decided to take a chance on it. I was not thrilled with the white and black exterior colors, but the device has a solid and well built feel to it. I like the blue read / write activity light on the front and the support that makes it possible to be placed in an upright position to minimize the desk space. You can connect the BE12 to your computer via USB 2.0 or eSATA port. I use the eSATA port to get the maximum 12X writing speed to USB port, the performance drop to 6X. ESATA port is capable of 3000 Mbps to 480 Mbps via USB, even though the capacity of the eSATA port is not fully exploited. A short cable supplied to an internal SATA port to eSATA bracket to convert to the back of the tower computer case. I did not try it out, but with the software, a USB Boost utility data rate has improved slightly over USB. I installed BE12 on my Lenovo Q700 HTPC with Windows 7 without any problems. Power2Go, PowerDVD, PowerProducer, MediaShow, and power backup LabelPrint: A software CD is a series of CyberLink applications included. They are not the latest versions, however. The software also includes USB booster and LG toolbox. The latter is to run, because it checks for and installs the latest LG firmware for the drive to be. It starts automatically when the PC is booted. You may want to disable it by running msconfig Startup tab and uncheck "LG Auto Firmware Update You can run it from the Start menu. The BE12LU30 is a LightScribe drive, but except for a small LightScribe logo on the back of the box, this function is nowhere mentioned in the documentation. You need the LightScribe system software to use this feature. It is available on the LightScribe site. Because this software is installed, the tool automatically LabelPrint sense, the availability of a LightScribe-enabled drive and connected to the means for a label of your design directly onto the front surface of the disk to print. You need to flip the disc in the tray to print the label, and apparently there is a sensor to detect the presence of a LightScribe disc in position to detect, so you do not make a mistake. Unfortunately, only CDs and DVDs are available at this time with the surface of LightScribe printing. I used BE12 a couple times so far, once to confer with LightScribe label write a DVD + R, and write once BD-R disc. I used the program in both cases and Power2Go burns were carried out smoothly. The album is pretty quiet too. Wrote 820MB data on DVD + R 16X 15 minutes and 15 minutes to print a LightScribe label. Then write 6.3 GB of data on a BD-R disc in 72 minutes with a maximum speed of 12X. Both records were written to perfection on the first attempt. I am very pleased with the apparent quality of BE12, their ability to read / write almost all CD, DVD and BD and excellent performance. I have no reservations in recommending this Blu-ray. 34 of 34 people found this review helpful. Reliable, fast and one of the best on the market by L.
