Verbatim 97090 25 GB 2x Blu-ray Single-Layer Recordable Disc BD-R LTH (Low to High), 20-Disc Spindle
Verbatim BD-R LTH media is manufactured with an organic dye that turns the disc’s reflectivity during recording from “low to high”. Other BD-R discs use the “high to low” recording method. Additionally, BD-R LTH is manufactured on converted CD-R/DVD-R production lines, which utilize a spin coating process and allow excess materials to be recycled. These two cost-cutting measures let us pass along the savings to you. Upon introduction of the BD-R LTH media, key hardware manufacturers like Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic and LG have worked to assure that their burners are fully compatible. If your BD burner is a 2009 model or later it will most likely support recording and playback of BD-R LTH media. If your Blu-ray hardware was manufactured before 2009, check with the manufacturer for firmware updates.

The best customer reviews 71 of 81 people found this review helpful. what's the point? are not compatible with any Blu-ray, and they are just cheaper, I have to say Paul Christensen, the idea is interesting - even Blu-ray to create a method that can be produced using existing production lines in the white CDs and DVDs. The premise is that lower costs of producing records are transferred to consumers. Here are the problems: 1) LTH discs are not compatible with any Blu-ray, not to mention all the Blu-ray burner (on most Blu-ray from 2009 can burn). Big loss: The best score, best-selling Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray, which was launched in 2009 and updated frequently with Divi is incompatible with LTH. Support Division, said they are investigating, but has no obligation to a firmware update to the BDP-83 for reproducing the content recorded on LTH. 2) speed - slower than the conventional Blu-ray. In my Pioneer BDR-205 (which is a recorder supports LTH) were slower than the standard for burning "4x" media, but not a full factor of 2x (on average 14 times slower). 3) Cost - after all, there is a cost savings? Unfortunately, very little. Compare this with a similar 25GB 20-pack blank BD-R (4x) media. List price is lower, but the real selling price of the Amazon is almost the same. Longevity 4) - this is subject to debate, but there are some opinions that the organic dye used by the media do not last as LTH BD-R and conventional. In my book, this combination of factors that prevent me from LTH. Unless the support increases, and the price difference becomes substantially different in the future, do not buy them again. 19 of 19 people found this review helpful. A nightmare ... I got burned by koko lopez hundreds of BD-R in recent years (I had some pioneers in this case). I bought this after I drive away from buying cheaper Memorex discs of all the problems people have reported being said scared, I actually had more problems with these discs I have ever had with any other party of the discs. First, my recorder was often very light, but at 2x, almost as if you are 25 shows dumping molasses. Second, approximately 50 percent of the drives do not burn well. I saw this strange little bubble on the bottom, where the check failed. I have everything from death literally, and were so kind to quickly and efficiently sending replacement discs for all the rides. I hoped maybe I just got a bad batch, but alas, I had the same problem with the replacement discs. There, I have no one else has reported this is seen as a problem, there is an opportunity I have some strange confluence of hardware problems that led to these problems, but whatever the problem I've never had problems like this with other hard drive I laud their service, but these discs are for the birds. 27 of 29 people found the following review helpful. I've wasted $ 30 on these elections Entertainment This should be compatible with LG Super Multi Blu-Ray burner BH10LS30. They are not! I've wasted 7th All slides now! I thought it might have been a bad blu ray unit, so I took it back because it was only 2 days old. Put another one in and still receive error messages when you try to burn these discs. But the free CD Verbatim (6x), which came with the unit was just fine to burn a project. Since you have to put with the other device I in. I tried to burn projects with three different software programs were. All gave me the error message at the end of the process. "Error Code 83457304".
