If you buy this player is aware that there is a real BD player. It will not play commercial Blu-ray DVD. It will play regular DVD disks and burn blu ray, but it will not play any of your favorite DVD Blu Ray. I do not recommend this product! June 5 found this review helpful. Perfect solution for your Blu-ray laptop for lack of L. Loso This product works well with my Dell XPS. It has special specifications for a laptop to be compatible. Do not buy this if you have an old laptop. My XPS was bought in 2008 and has HD capability. My old Dell Inspiron (2006) is not HD, this unit does not work in that type of laptop model. The technology of the laptop is not advanced enough for this unit ext. That said, the launch was the cake.
